Welcome to Lynn and Marcel'sBuffett Adventures!
Well hello there! Why don't you pull up a beach chair, stick your toes in the sand and sit back with your ice cold margarita and enjoy our Buffett Adventures! Our journey (for me anyway) started in 1998, my husband dragged me kicking and screaming to my first Buffett concert. That year it was the "Carnival" tour. Needless to say we show up with our two friends (one Parrothead and one not) to the parking lot in my Grand Am. Yeah we had a cooler and some cups, but I was a bit surprised by the sights at Great Woods! By the end of the night I was HOOKED! This wasn't just about partying in the parking lot, it was something more than that! I don't know how to describe it. Well the journey continued to 1999...we bought a truck (mine), some palm trees, some decorations, oh yeah and a hibachi grill...needless to say it was another great year!!! OK the maniac in me really came out in 2000! I became ADDICTED to EBay and not ashamed to say so! Well there I was on Friday morning looking at the weather report! NOT GOOD! It was supposed to rain most of Saturday...hmm I thought to myself, SELF what are we going to do about this??? I jumped in my truck and went shopping (of course)! Finally after four or five stores, I found IT!!! It was a canopy/tent that did not need to be anchored into the ground! We can't be pounding stakes through the asphalt at Great Woods! Anyway I was so excited with my find!!! Saturday morning in the rain we packed up the truck, picked up our friends and headed to Great Woods! We set up our "Home Away From Home" and I proceeded to decorate...and boy did I decorate!!! We had inflatable sharks, parrots, and the Hemisphere Dancer...Oh did I say I was a maniac??? Well we had matching table clothes, plates, napkins, cups, and plastic wear... And the journey has ended in 2004! I am very sad to say the Jimmy won't be playing at Great Woods this year. He has chosen to play at Fenway park where there is NO TAILGAITING and the shows are on Friday and Sunday nights...
